Definition:

Late/Early Audio Effect refers to an individual audio effect that is not in sync with the visual occurring on-screen. This audio effect negatively impacts the content quality of an asset. If the on-screen action and coincidental audio do not match, it negatively impacts the customer experience. This could possibly be creative intent on part of the producer. Any derivatives of the asset will have the mistimed effects.

Audio effect is one (1) frame or less out of sync.

Needs Review

Audio effect is two (2) or less frames out of sync, but other factors may indicate creative intent. 

Needs Fix

Audio effect is more than two (2) frames out of sync with no indication of creative intent. 


Solution:

Review and confirm if this is creative intent; otherwise, move the audio effect to be in sync with the on-screen content.
