Error Code:

Loss of Detail in Highlights

Definition:

Loss of Detail in Highlights is the adverse effect in which highlights in the image (or sections of the image) exceed the maximum reproducible video level and appear to solidify in value. Image quality is degraded by the loss of detail, which negatively affects the technical soundness of the program and, in turn, negatively impacts the customer experience. The issue is occasionally creative intent.

Needs Fix

Substantial portions of the image have minimal detail due to the image luminance levels clipping at peak.

Solution:

Review and confirm if this is creative intent; otherwise, review the file for the error. It may be a conformance issue, a full/legal range conversion issue, or the color timing did not render in the sequence to derive the master.
