Question:

Is there a filenaming convention I have to use?

Answer:

There is no filenaming convention for licensed content. While you may label the assets as you wish, we do ask that you avoid using special characters such as those with accents or those from a non-latin based language. For Netflix Original content, please contact your Netflix representative and they will confirm the naming convention.

We recommend that you use human-readable names as this will assist both you and Netflix should a delivery need troubleshooting.

e.g.

Asset: ParksAndRecreation_S01E01_Pilot_EN.mov

In the event you need to perform a redelivery, we recommend that you version up the assets giving the new asset a unique filename.

e.g.

Asset: ParksAndRecreation_S01E01_Pilot_EN_v2.mov
